O come, brothers and sisters
all,
Gather ye close to friend and
flame,
To hear of Æthelmearc so fair,
The Sylvan land of honored
name.
White snow doth crown the
mountain’s brow,
Her forests deep in silence
stand.
Where farmland yields to
scythe and plow,
And shining streams traverse
the land.
Our hearts do burn both fierce
and bright,
Her warriors with steadfast
will,
Their swords be swift, their
shields fain,
Their vows true as the old oak
tree,
They guard the realm from ills
and bane,
Not just in battle does She
shine,
For art and science in beauty
bloom,
Where minds of fire and
artworks fine,
Do outshine shadow, grief, and
gloom.
Potter’s wheel, and
Chatelaine’s key,
The painted scroll, the bardic
song,
Where beauty thrives, there is
no wrong.
Her people’s kindness knows no
end.
Their laughter warm, their
smiles sincere.
The stranger fast becomes a
friend,
All are welcome to gather
here.
The Crown doth shine with
glorious light,
Her Kings and Queens, both
just and wise.
They lead with grace, through
peace and plight,
And lift the meek to noble
rise.
O Æthelmearc, thou sylvan
jewel,
Beset with hill and stream and
glade.
With chivalry, our fair land’s
rule,
Where hearts are forged and The Dream is made!
